your words pierce meetch themselves into my skinleaving purple-black bruisesthat only we can see

it's tender here in my hearthere where the sharpness of your tonguehas plunged in deepshattered and shreddedthen tried to sweetly mend mesaliva dripping, thick like salvelies

your words burn meleave me frostbitten and numband I am only heartlessbecause I can't feel you anymore

every day away from youthaws the ice across my lipsbittersweet the flavor of healingall my wounds taste of youbittersweet the taste of my own voiceas I learn it again
