Harmonia axyridis.

The Harlequin of beetles,

Multicolored and always in disguise.

Today you could be a ladybug,

Tomorrow you could have no spots at all.

You could be black with small red spots;

Change it up a bit, but one thing is certain,

I cannot have you in my home.

Young beetle, I implore you

Please do not infest my home.

It is not to say that you are unwelcome

Or otherwise useless or unliked.

I simply mean that you and your family

Will not be accommodated properly.

A window screen is no place

For a guest to sleep for the night;

As much as I'd let you borrow my lamp,

I'm afraid you can't sleep their, either.

You are a living being, Young Beetle,

So respect you, yes, I shall,

But your kind is one for family quality time,

And simply do not have the room.
