Knotted

I map your idiosyncrasies with my finger on a dark sky.

I map your idiosyncrasies with my finger on a dark sky

and they glow against the cosmos,

above vast, pointed silhouettes.

Glass blue eyes smile through mine

and I can see your mind.

Warm breath against my ear,

these soporific whispers.

And the rigid knots in my shoelaces

finally loosen.

They’d been there for years,

now untied.
