Knifed

For you to feel as you feel right

I’ve got a pain in my back

From where I got stabbed

By an insolent creature

That did nothing but nag

Me about how great he was

And who he was to be.

When really there was not much

To gloat about actually.

Apart from a crooked nose

And half chipped teeth

And a batty old hag

Who gave him nothing but grief.

Although I pretended

To listen to his strife,

One day he realised

And gave me the knife.

So for all my work,

It may be unfair,

That he left me alone

But to be honest

I don’t bloody care.
