Kisses to the Sun

Unrequited Love

By Monroe DeanPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Feeling so close, yet so far.

My heart dragging in shadows with sun light behind.

Dwindling rays and sparkling drops of water make my skin tingle like your touch.

I smile at the thought of you my sunshine, kisses to the sun.

You speak to me in shades and clouds, my heart flutters with contentment.

Today I shed a tear for you, for you are not mine, kisses to the sun.

One day if fate allows it and we are meant to be we'll hold hands and walk down the righteous path, looking, smiling and thinking of what's been. Never looking back but moving forward from within and I won't have nothing else to do but throw kisses at the sun with you.
