Let this be a conversation
These words
a vaccination
away from the pains
that may sting at first...
But Beloved, it is my hope
they serve as a map for the heart
through the dark
&away from these dangers
when troubled waters rise.

Inspired by my time in Japan after volunteering
in the Tohoku region after the 3/11 quake
going back in 2013 to see the flowers growing
and the people trying again
to find love, loved ones, and life.
Empathy for the things they faces
while giving encouragement to the weight of my own obstacles
in life, love and the everyday.
for the land of the rising

The Business of Nature
Dew drops reflected the light of the sun. The inhabitants of Whispering Woods woke up to the golden droplets of water on the leaves of the flora. The oaks particularly enjoyed the light and the maples did, too. Happiness enveloped all who lived there, even the rocks that cried out in the night delighted in the morning.
