Kintsugi the art of turning damage into beauty

It is the Japanese who mend their broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powered gold

It is the pain and trauma in my life that leaves scars on my arms, my neck, my skin and mind

If I were a bowl I'd be covered in gold from my head to my toes

the scars on my body would be golden like the stars in the sky I'd be golden my heart would be golden my brain would be golden my tears would be silver dripping dripping like the lacquer on the brush

If I could paint my memories with gold the pain with gold then I wouldn't be broken

Our pain is what transforms us into beautiful pottery and it is the cracks left from damage that make us unique and paint our soul in gold

If I were a bowl I'd be gold like my soul
