Key To The Heart
You left behind a broken heart,
You left behind happy memories,
Incomprehensible was the thought of us apart,
You had my heart with its lock and keys.
But I never wanted memories,
All I ever wanted was you,
A broken man begging on his knees,
Imploring you to see that I do.
O the keeper of my memories, heart and keys.
The distant memory of our first kiss,
A memory that I will forever cherish and hold,
A reason to look back in fondness and reminisce,
How naïve we were to think it would never become cold.
O the keeper of my memories, heart and keys.
I only wanted you
I still only want you
I will only ever want you
O the keeper of my memories, heart and keys.
