Keep Going

Darkness

The walls closed in.

The lights shut off.

The darkness, back again.

But it was bright outside, for the rest of the world.

Her darkness was all within.

Between the negative thoughts and the mix of emotions, she couldn't keep it together.

Some days were warm, but most were rainy, just like Seattle weather.

Why does this happen? This darkness within?

She tries to understand the pain. The negative thoughts are piling up, though she longs to be healthy and sane.

She sits in front of the mirror, tears running down her face, as she tries to steady her voice.

It will be okay, you are enough, and to keep going will be my choice.
