Just Be in the Picture

Pictures are not just for you.

Just be in the picture,

Don't worry about your chin,

It doesn't matter how you look,

Fat, Skinny, or Thin,

It doesn't even matter if you smile,

Though some wish you would,

We just want to see your face,

So there is no "should,"

See that picture is not for you,

No, not for you at all,

It's for those who wish to lovingly recall,

It's for those who want to look at your face,

when your far away or gone,

Perhaps for those who may have lost you,

and need help moving on,

It's for generations after,

To see the history of them,

So don't bow out of the picture,

It's not just for you my friend,

Just be in the picture,

For those you love,

Now and Then
