Journey to the Unknown

For you to feel as you feel right.

The rain won’t stop pouring. I don’t know what to do.

Do I stop or carry on?

The sky is grey, I need it blue.

The days have been dark,

Like it never shone.

But I can’t seem to run back. All I see is ahead.

Do I stop or carry on?

As I look around, all I see is the dead.

Life withering in the dark.

All my energy is gone.

I think I see something in the distance. But it’s so small.

Do I stop or carry on?

But my legs are tired; I want to fall.

I’m trying to get there;

To reach the blazing sun.

Just one more step. Surely I can make it.

Do I stop or carry on?

The light is there; finally I can see it.

The journey has ended.

My life is done.
