You left us in silence not saying a word
You went on a journey and flew like a bird
The feeling inside us when you flew away
Was a feeling that's been here since that very day
I can't live in silence your loss broke my heart
I picked up and pushed on and had to restart
The sadness and memories have been all but good
Oh what I would tell you if only I could
So many things happened that you couldn't see
Inside me I've wished you were here next to me
I hold you so closely in my memory
I tell them about you because they can not see
The day that I lost you in truth I lost me
