Joe's Song

Violence isn't just physical.

You say it’s normal

He doesn't want to hurt you

He cries, he screams names at you

And you stay there why?

Why are you hurting yourself?

Because he doesn't deserve you

And I think you know that very well

Don't forget we are here

Living that with you

We are your strength, walls, and friends

We are ready to fight your battles

And never forget, you're not alone

Don't wait to be hurt for real

We wanna protect you, not get you killed

You’d have to do it on your own

But if you look behind

We’ll always get your back

Don’t worry about that

Don’t forget we hold your hand

When you don’t have courage, we’ll be there

We are ready to help you find the way

The way to be happy, to be free

Violence isn’t just physical

It’s also psychological

Don’t let him treat you that way

Be tough and proud and just walk away

Be yourself and spread your wings

About the Creator

Singster Jones

I like to write about things that I witnessed or felt. But I like fiction too, it can be liberating. Writing is a big part of my life and I like to think that it's not only words on paper but kind of a second voice. Hope you like my stuff!
