It's All Good, Really!!!

Sitting, slouched, tired, and without a care

knowing there's a lot going on in the world,

but not wanting to go there.

Sure a lot is happening, but what I am supposed to do...

What I mean to say is, one plus one will always be two

Nothing changes, everything stays the same

Living has become mundane

blah, blah, blah...

The only thing I know to be true,

Is that there's nothing I can do.

I mean, I can recycle, I can try

I can pretend I care and I can lie,

but try change relies on me relying on you,

and that's just not something I'm willing to do.

The world has been sold to a powerful buyer

Ignore the news, but turn the music up higher

Take a selfie and I act like I don't care.

Scroll through social media feeds and stare.

To relax, I watch T.V.

Nothing heavy, it just can't relate to me.

Something about vampires, ghosts, and monsters, oh my

the reincarnation of my fears come alive,

Hidden in plot twists and drama, this is fun.

Until the day is done,

and I can't sleep.
