Is Loneliness a Choice?

Sitting while questioning

Is loneliness a choice?

Sometimes I think it is for many.

Maybe they just want to be lonely and sullen.

Maybe they just want to have a continuous pity party.

Maybe they have gotten too comfortable with their loneliness.

Although, there could be times when loneliness is not a choice.

I think there is a spirit of loneliness who hovers from person to person.

I think that this spirit has held many a person captive for long years.

I think that once a person accepts this spirit's friendship, it is a slow fade.

Is loneliness a choice?

People may feel lonely when they are alone.

People may feel lonely when they are surrounded by people.

People may seek being lonely.

People may run from being lonely.

People may not have any other friend aside from Loneliness.
