Invisible

A Poem

Sometimes I stand there it seems like no one sees me,

Trying to express myself but nobody hears me,

When I want to speak I'm inaudible,

When I want to be seen I'm invisble

-----

Because I'm ignored I feel as cold as river banks stones,

This coldness makes me shiver to my bones,

Doubting my value makes me invisible,

I'm sitting in the dark wondering am I visible?

-----

What should I do to show I'm important?

Set off a fire or build a tent?

Even though I'm not considered as an important person,

I try to smile look up and smile at the bright yellow sun

-----

held up high in the sky faithful as always

In my heart where my family's love stays
