Surviving My Demons

Stillness.

Such comforting silence.

A dream inside a dream, of sorts.

Finding my footing.

Reestablish my balance.

I'm inside myself.

I'm seeing, hearing, feeling.

Seeing the torn sections,

The degraded edges of my being.

The parts that bleed the darkest blood.

Hearing the soul that cries out.

The single voice of heartbreak.

The part that still grieves this all.

Feeling the parts that sting

The broken limbs and battered brain.

The parts that remain unhealed.

All it means is I must keep going

I must find my light inside this place

This place of hurt and darkness.
