Inhuman

A Poem

Discover me, for I am nowhere close to

Recovery,

Struggling to reclaim the ground that was stolen

Out from under me.

A junkyard of broken hearts and I'm "The man" around

These parts,

Allow me to "Curb your enthusiasm" with my uncanny

Street Smarts.

My gravitational pull is inescapable when I

Heave,

Thought to be a monogamist magician but I always had a few

Tricks up my sleeve.

Stolen kisses, few dare to question this burglar and how he

Made out,

My house of cards has unfolded now that better plans have been

Laid out.

Open up my chest and you will locate the purest

Treasure,

A loyal servant to the dream of being a ruler by any

Measure.

High on life, you've become a fiend for the addictions I've

Smuggled in,

I've laid in the bed you made but never experienced the warm feeling

Of being snuggled in.

Curiously flirted with "Disaster," but now I'm actually thankful that

We met,

Beginners luck, this "Enders game" helped me understand the power

Of pressing reset.

Gaining back control, staying on the straight narrow through this

Winding route,

Discover me, I believe the significance of my being is what I'm really

Finding out.
