Indecision

They're waiting.

Indecision

paces at the foot of your bed

wearing a sleek gray suit.

His eyes welling and chest heavy.

He explains the fork in the road,

endlessly passionate

about every option

but you sit in limbo.

Love and Opportunity glower

naked in front of you.

They sit anxiously as

Desperation's shaky

hands and furrowed brows

fill them with disquiet.

The air silent.

You take a breath in

But there's no right answer.

No perfect choice to make.

So you make none and remain uncertain

as the room waits.

About the Creator

Briana Aeschliman

Do you remember the scene from Spongebob where he clears his brain of everything but fine dining and forgets his name, so all of his little brain Spongebobs run around like crazy? That moment of chaos describes my brain most of the day.
