In Pursuit of Happiness

How do you know when you are happy?

Do you judge it by how broad the smile is?

Or the vocal strength of an awesome laughter?

What are your future plans?

Do you have space for happiness?

That you are alive, doesnt mean you are living

But then again, it's possible to hide all the pain

All then aching spirit behind a smile

Life is beautiful, a proven fact

Life is horrible, a definite fact

So which is life, beautiful or horrible?

Trust me when I say it is a complex mixture

But you make life what it is to you

Life has got its ups and downs

The downs mould you or destroys you

The ups exalts you or destroys you too

What am I saying? A confusing description

Yeah thats life, a confusing stinkingly awesome and wonderful matrix

Sometimes I like to daydream and think

And each time, all I see is happiness beyond reasoning

Lucky are those who found the ultimate rose

But if you haven't, trust me, you would.

Am just a simple pen trying to make sense

But if at 80 years you cant say "I lived life",

I rest my case, but damn, what a boring sequence
