In a World Full of Sheep

I’ve got the eye of the... Lion...

In a world of sheep

Here stands a lion.

I’ve fought many to become dominant over my life

Yet even though I hold the key to my happiness

Somewhere deep inside,

I also am a sheep.

Maybe even a gazelle

I’ve seen that it’s safer to dress in sheep’s clothing.

They are safe blending in and following everyone else.

No one and nothing will come after a sheep.

As a lion, you fight constantly to be who you are.

One fights to keep the pride safe.

I am nothing but a mere sheep.

My pride no longer accepts me.

I wonder through forests alone,

Only with one of the sheep to keep me company.

It promises to not let anything hurt me,

When it knows not even what I have seen.

I wonder, could it even protect itself?

While my companion of a sheep is distracted,

I have come across another wounded lion

Who calls himself a sheep.

He has faced the sameness fights I have,

And yet, he let it defeat him.

I have no hope for my pride.

We lions now live in defeat because of sheep.

And in the end, I wonder if any lions still exist.

All I am is alone in this world.

No lion, No sheep, not even a gazelle.

Alone.
