Imperfect Love

A Poem

Daylight breaks through the window, and the sun shines in my eyes

I turn around to watch you sleep, and listen to your sighs

The trees are swaying in the wind, the sky so bright and blue

It makes me see how happy I am, to be lying here with you

I reach out to touch you, to gently stroke your hair

So warm, so soft, and shiny... from the sunlight's glare

You awaken, turn, and look at me with a beautiful smile on your face

The look in your eyes, and your tender smile could never be replaced

The most wonderful person I'll ever know, is lying next to me

Each morning when the sun breaks in, is exactly as it should be
