I’m Just Like Everyone Else
Even a worn out old book can be interesting if you just take the time to look.
I wear shame and grief upon my shoulder like every one of you.
I am no different just because of my skin color, sexual preferences, or even the clothes I wear.
You can walk by me not knowing where I came from or who I am but you'll still judge without even thinking about looking at yourself and thinking how much it hurts.
I wear depression and anxiety upon my shoulders just like anyone else would.
I look happy and I fight on with hope and faith knowing everything gets better
As my soul slowly withers away.
I wear my pride and integrity upon my shoulder walking past everyone with my head held up high like everyone should.
Everyone has unquestionable abilities that we won't get to know just because we look down on each other.
I wear my confidence and my loved one's fighting ability upon my shoulders proud of who I am and what I am.
Every day I stand up for what I believe in and I stand up for others without a doubt in myself knowing I'm going to win this war.
Everyone should be able to say who they are and what they are with pride, no one should get judged by the cover
About the Creator
Drew Chamberlin
There's never much to say when someone is still learning about themselves, their thoughts, habits, or goals in life. I have yet to figure out what part in society i'll take and what path i'll lead in life. i hope to find myself soon.
