If You End It
A Poem on Suicide... Keep looking up. <3
The pain is unbearable.
You think you are alone... but I've been there.
The pain is invisible... but I can still see it.
If you end it...
The pain will not end but explode.
The pain is a grenade.
Your life is the pin.
The blast will impact everyone around you...
Friends, family, coworkers, peers...
The damage is yet to be seen.
The light is hard to see in the darkness.
But it is there... if only you search.
For it was once said, "Only in darkness can you see the stars."
For we who have seen the dark, find more value in the light.
For you are not blind, but simply need to open your eyes.
If you end it all...
You may never see the light again.
You may never again glance upon that lake.
You may never again feel the warm sun.
You may never again hear a child's laughter.
You may never know what could have been.
There is no certainty in death.
The choice is simple, yet so complex.
To live or die.
To see life's wonders and experience all that comes with...
To bring about new life and spread love through the world...
To give everything a chance to change...
Or to end it all.
If you end it...
So many experiences will be lost.
So many places will be unseen.
So many opportunities will pass.
There is no one that cares...
Or so you think... but they do...
Even if they don't tell you.
Although we have never met... know that I care...
For I write this poem for you...
