Without pains in my Heart
But I'd use a wish
To go back to the start
When glances were hidden
Secrets were kept
Kisses were promises
On my chest you slept
You've broken my Heart
No chance of repair
Good Luck forgetting
The Love that we shared
Forever & Always
Not meant to be
A little while later
You're in Love with a She
Everyone warned me
This would come to pass
I said this was different
Love that could last
I beg you just tell me
You wish to be mine
I don't need 3 wishes
Just 1 would be fine
If I had 3 wishes
1 would be for you
To just say you Love me
We both know it's true..........

Reaching Out
I promise her. I'd do anything for her. She's my mom. Even as Lanie and Deanna are flying home, Mom is scrappy fighting dying. She lays too still in that too-big bed with all the toasty white hospital blankets, in the south tower, at the broad end of a long slow-turning corner that delivers me again to her private room with the view she can't see through, with the beeping that tells us nothing new, and all these ice chips she can't swallow, and a flood of well-intentioned nurses who cannot do a damned thing all the same.
