I Won't Let Cancer Take You Away
Never give up! #VocalNPM
I saw through your eyes,
and you lead me to the places
you seen,
And then I noticed
that your grass,
Is no longer that green,
more times than none,
Red in color,
With agonizing pain,
The truth lies in the mirror,
You're not the same,
But there were colorful reflections
of a better time once known,
When misery was not your pain,
And Joy was set in stone,
when your lips on my neck,
Left red prints,
of it's clone,
That was when you approached me in your finest hour,
With that red flower in your hair, And your intoxicating stare,
And a smile that lit my room,
That left me with no care,
But It seems the world
wants to play a game
that's not fair,
a once promised life,
They no longer want to spare,
but why must the world,
Give such painful dread,
To such an innocent soul
With a red flower on her head?
With eyes sparkling like the oceans
that are radiantly blue,
Why must they choose
to do this to you?
But hold my hand tight,
Never let go,
It seems god is calling you,
But I say no,
I will do all I can,
To prolong your life,
By way of my hand,
Just hold it tight,
not long ago,
You were enjoying the lights,
Embracing the smell,
Enticed by the sights,
And I refuse to let those days
Be gone,
One more moment,
One more day,
I refuse to lose my desire,
but if you hold my hands tight
Without slipping away,
I promise I won't let cancer
Take you away
