Fantasy

When I climb in bed and I close my eyes at night

and darkness is spinning towards the closing door

clouds and colored lights rapidly appear;

face to face I see you again, as before.

Suddenly my heart begins to race out of control

as if bearing the beats is too much to hold;

then I press forward in anticipation

of the timeliness of your touch.

I can feel your eyes as they trace

and linger upon my body, reaching for my soul;

No shame am I facing

as I give myself to you wholeheartedly.

But as I open my eyes to look closely upon your face to see,

the naked truthful world floods in on me,

and I begin to wonder how it could be true

that you continue to be a force in my fantasy.(2019)
