I wish...

I wish...

I wish I could kiss you.

Let every puritanical standard fall away,

And your breath in words caress me,

There is no sin spoken or known,

Only the redemption of love sought in

Our shared prayers and fantasies;

A sensuous draught laced with sacred wine;

In which I am yours and you are mine.

Night will hold us captive in the freedom

Of lips and touches of tongues to flesh,

You feel the beating of my heart in every

Part of me, naked under cages of clothes;

Release Me! Release me, and kiss the

Kiss that will render me freed by pleasure,

Joyfully imprisoned in love's embrace.

I wish I could kiss you.
