I Will Not Make You a Sandwich
Toxic Masculinity
If patience is a virtue
Then I'm not very virtuous
Tell me to calm down
Like a fool
And feel the flames
Of my wrath consume you
I'll bite at you
With my wit-sharpened tongue
To tell you when you are wrong
I will not be quiet
I will not be docile
I will not be cute and demure
Like a sweet little woman should
I will not make you a sandwich
My words will tower over you
Cut you down
To the size you really are
Without your ego
That's been overinflated
By society and the media
And your beer-drinking pals
You compare lengths
But I see how small you really are
When it's too cold
For your ego to appear
In all its toxic glory
I see you for what you really are
A scared little child
Intimidated by my strength
By something you can no longer control
Or intimidate
Or repress
Or violently take
This age is the end
Of toxic masculinity
Release it
Before a horde of angry women
Rise up and release it for you
About the Creator
A. R. Ambrosi
I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!
I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
