I notice my friends,
The way they act
When I’m not around.
The way they laugh and smile,
Not even acknowledging that
I’m nowhere to be found.
I want to be seen,
But no one even spots me.
I beg and I plead,
But still not a soul
Ever catches a glimpse.
As I walk through their eyes,
They still can’t tell
That I’m wanting to be seen.
I scream and shout
But still no reply
They can’t see me,
they can’t hear.
And I’m looking at them
As I’m a mirror of their
Reflection.
