I Remember

I remember like it was the only day I truly lived.

I remember as if it was the day I was born, the day my eyes opened.

I remember the look in your eyes.

I remember the feelings of despise.

I was no longer your prize, I remember my eyes only cried while yours were bone dry.

I remember your voice; shaking.

I remember my response; quaking.

A goodbye from you had left my heart racing,

my body aching.

I slit my wrist, popped some pills, and drank all my thrills... but nothing seemed to rid me of your chills.

I was missing you still.

One day, I remember waking up and my first thought was not, you.

I remember you well, but my mind and body have bid you farewell.

You truly had me under a spell, and not a single minute was worth it...

So please remember to tell

your next one to go to hell.
