I Never Know What to Write

A Poem

I never know what to write

It's not that I'm bored

It's just that I have too many things

Left unsaid.

In my head I see

A version of me

Standing in front of the paintings I made

All colourful and bright

Oh my God, what a night

All the compliments while music is played.

The crowds all smiled and stared at me.

They applauded, in awe of all they see

Introduced to the creme de la creme

It was just me and them

Sharing stories and drinking wine.

I sold every painting that night.

Staring at a blank screen

And in my head all I see

Are the times I played music for the world.

Every boy and girl that sat in that room

We're moved by the sound of my violin tune.

They clapped and cheered and were brought to tears.

Sharing music with the world feels right.

I look around my room and all I see

Are moments of my life staring back at me

stories untold

Both new and old

I thank God for my wonderful life...

But I never know what to write.
