Not a boy.

I traveled around the world searching for purpose, tears in my eyes every day I'm away. Looking for purpose, adventure, suspense. The home away from home. I wear scars like tattoos, clothes covered in oil stains. I come home to see what I left behind and the road just keeps calling my name. I want to settle down and start a family but the road is the only home for me. I lay down an gaze up at the stars in the night sky; wind at an almost still and quiet breeze. only the crickets song and distant birds chirping can be heard. My mind is lost in the clouds many have said that I need to be still and good things will eventually happen but I say no I will hunt for those good things, if I get hurt or screw up I just learn from it and continue on my journey into the place called life. There will be blood and bumps that will hurt but go away after time. My heart longing for adventure, stress, and dirt. The life on the road is the life for me. I am not a mere boy but a Man that seeks adventure, and excitement. I want a life that has no strings attached no stress of a loved one. adventure is the only way I can get away from people; that can hurt me, lie to me, cheat and steal from me. I walk the road to be free and want to be free, I stay put and am never happy. Been in pain my heart has been in the hands of someone else and been hurt by just trusting and loving them.

I am a man not just a boy. not a hero, nor savior, I am only man; only human, I bleed; hurt, cry, care, love, play, and can get hurt just as easy as you and the next person. I am not just a boy; but a man.
