Face-to-face with all of my regrets
Count me out, but I ain’t finished yet
They wanna put me down, but I am not their pet
Declared a war on myself, which I’m already a vet
This vet needs to be vetted
After all, I’ve upset it
The goal’s not to get it
But get it? I said it
The fuel burns unleaded
But let it forget it
The path’s still untreaded
Though evidently shredded
To whom shall I credit?
Allowed me to shed it?
Can’t stay here, I fled it
In the sky, I will net it
Emotions will cloud
The visions that confound
My mission in this town
And smitten with the sound
As written on my crown
That’s bitten here and now
Throw mittens for the pound
CAN’T QUIT THIS WHEN I’M DOWN

It's not hard doing self-deprecating humor. I just suck at it.
