I'm Going to Put the Bottle Down
I'm losing my friend.

I’m going to put the bottle down,
Which is harder than it sounds,
As the water dilutes the brown color,
Inside my head a voice hollers,
You can’t do this without the liquor,
He gets rid of the pain quicker,
The pain that dwells down further than anyone knows,
You don’t even know how far I go,
You don’t even really want to know,
The brown liquid calms everything down,
It silences the awful sounds your head,
Making you wish you were dead,
What will you do then?
The bottle has been your only friend.
