In a sea of blankets that don't quite fit, I find you
You're an awake soul
Eyes so deep
Self so innocent
Looking for something more
Staring into the darkness
The darkness that coils around us
That comforts us
Your fingertips grazing my stomach
Leaving goosebump trails
This is happiness
The feeling of being content
Words spill out like cups overflowing
My hair cascading over the pillows
Invading your space
My fingers running across your face
Memorizing every detail
Every expression
I cannot see you
But I feel you
The feeling of eternal warmth
The feeling of wanting someone so bad
The feeling of loving in silence
Your voice like the sweetest lullaby
Cradling me with every whisper
The precious moments that I hold dearest
The moments that show me what perfection is
Moments that remind me that home exists
That home exists
That home exists in you
In a sea of blankets I find you

Lifting the Curtain to a Successful Month
April has been a fantastic month for me in terms of writing endeavors. I’d like to share what’s been so great about it just as many other writers would do. Share successes. I’ve noticed other writers or artists have shared successes and when you just see the snippet of their success, it appears everything has been going right for them all along. But we haven’t seen behind the curtain, we haven’t seen their hard work and their failures and those months that were fraught with disappointment. In everyone’s case, it’s far from the truth. But for the outside observer it isn’t always apparent.
