and maybe they're right...

My life's been so short

I don't really know what it's like to be hurt

but I know what I know

This life is mine

no matter what I do

or what time

I come and I go like the moon in the sky

I wax and I wane when I'm high

I won't lie

I trust in myself

I trust in my mind

We all make mistakes and we all cry

But that won't impede me

I'm snatching my chance

To make my own life
