I Hate Money

Misappropriation of Funds

I hate money

Or rather

I hate that people are forced

To go without

While the rich have more

Than they could ever need

While children elsewhere starve

While people who work hard get robbed

By those who are supposed to balance the books

And provide infrastructure and security

Instead of taxing the poor

I hate the greed, the excess, the gluttony

The disgusting and blatant

Misappropriation of funds

I hate that I'm on the poverty end

That I can't do anything to change this

But if I could do away with money, I would

I'll trade you my chicken for your goat?

That would be the perfect world

Back to basics

Off the grid to live off the land

That's the dream

But sadly, if the saying is true

That the love of money is the root of all evil

Then I believe

This world is damned
