I Finally Found You on Facebook

An Ode to Social Networking

I finally found you on Facebook

after so many years of searching

for my old flame

But you were lost

to me

once more

because you'd taken

a new name

Of the man who

stole your heart

from me

all those years ago

Thank goodness

for a mutual friend

who sometimes

says hello

When we talked

again, like the old days

on the phone

You told me

how you took

back your name

And I realized

how needlessly alone

I've been

all this time

Since last I heard your voice

and saw your dazzling smile

Or, like today

when I

held you in my arms

So, I thank you Facebook

For, once again

she is mine

This time

forever...
