I don't peer over and focus on you because i know my pupils will be deep moons and confess what i don't want them to.
I don't open my eyelids and let in light
I don't show you my face My neck muscles tight
But i do listen
To each slow, soft movement
Of your toes against my heart's defense
Because your sharp nail punctures and scratches what my mistakes made so thick, a defense from your temptation.
I have to keep concentration.
I don't open my eyelids to let in you
You don't give the truth in what you do.
But i do listen
And i do learn.
