I Don't Ever Want to Lose This Feeling
A Poem
I don't want to ever lose this feeling
this inspiration
this
delighting feeling when writing.
The worshiped words expressing
the deepest, darkest parts of my brain
with a black-inked pen
and the heartfelt responses of my heart
when the tip of the pen brushes the blank paper.
Never could I imagine this kind of stillness
of the imagination and
of thinking, a break
from the blabber of the consciousness.
and from this overwhelmed feeling:
a dilemma is created between
the nourishment of
an elegant brushing and
a devoted passion enclosed with
tears demanding,
eyelashes itching,
ice piercing the wind
chilliness piercing my fair skin
blizzard blowing against my bare spleen
and with this,
poetry hangs on the threads of existence
in the thoughts of ineloquent children
resting within their delicate assembled forts.
waiting for the moment they will be absolved on paper
through their grown-up fingers and veins of blood
pumping through the cold
as the red-inked pen stirs in the distance and awaits to own some poetry.
