I Decide

After our phone call

I think to myself

You love my poetry don't you?

I hear you go "eh."

But I reply still, "no you love my poetry."

Again you say "eh."

How could you love someone fully, if you don't love the lovely things they do for you?

I refuse to listen to words I hear schizophrenically and instead I decide to wait to ask you in person.

I decide to set aside the delusion before I react, and I decide to hear your real words I want to hear anyways.

I know you love me dear.

I know I don't feel that unclear.
