Don’t make a home out of me
Don’t leave your emotional baggage suitcase at the steps of my door
Or change the carpets to wooden floors
Don’t change me around to suit you
Because you’re not going to like everything I do
To be with you
I may choose to stay
I may choose to go
We can’t predict the future, so how can you know?
Don’t toss your happiness out the window because I’m not there
Happiness lies within you and that’s only fair
Everyone is temporary
Everything changes
That’s just the way it is
I wasn’t born to be a home for you
