I try to forget about the sea salt taste on my mouth.
I try to cry, but I don't feel any tears.
I try to listen for someone, but nobody's there.
I try to let the air in, but there's no air.
I lay there, looking at the little bit of light that's left, then it slowly fades to darkness.
The water invades my lungs 'til there's no more air left. I'm drowning, and no one knows. My lifeless body laying in the water. Will the light come back, or will the darkness consume my soul? I try to drift off to a peaceful sleep. Then my limp body is lifted up.
Water escapes my lungs, and I can let the air in.
The light is brighter now. I can see his face.
I feel the warmth around me, as he holds me close.
I can smell the ocean.
I can hear him calling my name.
The sea salt taste starts to fade away, as he kisses me.
All my senses are back, and I AM LOVED.
