Hurricane David

A Poem

A storm is coming

I must get prepared for the worst

The winds are blowing

If not my windows will burst

A storm is coming

The waves are crashing on the sand

But I am just laying

Wishing that I held your hand

A storm is coming

Yet I lay here awake

The trees are shaking

As I relive my biggest mistake

A storm is coming

And I am most definitely unprepared

My heart is aching

Because you never really cared

A storm is coming

I am ready for it to pass

I am no longer feeling

Because I am so done with your ass
