A Poem Heard About the World?

Humanity,

through pores sweat insanity,

approaching great lands and establishing Sovereignty,

but our violent nature beckons days to live in infamy

and entire powers corrupted by the simple lure of villainy.

Humanity,

a force so strong

reinforced by iron bonds

with rhetoric and philosophy

made by intelligent men upon a quest

to medicine the world with a wisdom

for right and wrong.

Humanity,

a force so fragile

and naturally impure.

It is an ironwood forest made of glass

and never certain if it is secure.

Humanity,

in days and ages where powerful men rise,

and women cry out in tears of blood

as babies are born to die.

You turn a civilization into a mire,

swamp up into great plains until there's nothing higher.

People reference that during these times there exists a tower,

a man who with every animal on Earth sworn he'll never devour

in this quest to save the world from it's inevitable apocalypse,

does this legend really prove to exist with our Earth in it?

Humanity,

we tend to question many things,

we inquire with the intent to destroy

or grow with thunder and songs of spring.

Now we face a golden age of curses and diplomatic warfare,

while religious cults swear they know when the world ends!

Humanity does not speak for its entirety for the world in itself does not describe human antiquity.

Long lost before when nations were never thought and nomadic tribes of no man's land were just a custom brought.

Humanity,

we face an age of modern incongruity,

repeating previous phases of bloody history,

yet we feign ignorance to days lived in infamy,

we stand together while still separated equally,

our lessons forgotten in dusty dictionaries,

flowered by unnecessary revisions to our vocabulary,

and still we want equal rights with no victory,

desire respect for another that wages wars against the other naturally,

and here we stand to orchestrate the same events with loathe with exemplary.

Thus, this is the true nature of our humanity.
