"Human"

The Poetic Truth on Society

What is a Man?

According to society: Strong, Masculine and falls for women.

But I am Physically weak, Mentally feminine and I fall for men.

Does this mean I'm not a man then?

Since when can a man not be gentle?

Why can't a man understand a woman?

Is it wrong for a so-called man to have a Voice? An opinion?

Why am I instantly put under a stereotype?

Since I'm gay I like everyman I see?

When I express my feelings I'm instantly called a term that means a "bundle of sticks."

Then a girl should do the same to a boy who expresses himself to her.

Because clearly that's how we run our society.

Why do we follow these stereotypes?

Then again for a species known as "wise man," we are not wise at all.

Slowly killing our planet, making other creatures extinct constantly.

Why do we still follow such ignorance?

And here we are now, with a president who is racist, and a vice president that wants to electrocute people like me to make us straight.

How did we get here? Where did we go wrong?

Or maybe we have always been wrong?

Here we are focusing on space travel instead of our currently dying planet.

But let's talk about education.

Because 5 days of the week, 6 hours a day, I got to school just to be prepared to be compared to other people at the end of the year?

Not all of us are good at learning, Not all of us can keep up.

Here I am, questioning how we live.

But I'm always being compared, no matter where I go.

At home, I'm compared to relatives and others my age.

In school I'm compared to children nationwide.

And in the streets I'm plainly just labeled, as if I'm an object.

I have feelings, flesh, and blood yet I'm still labeled.

But, I'll try to be calm and positive, but as I leave, I know I'll be judged and labeled in the minds of the people.

Because after all, It's what humans do best.
