How Dare She Allow Herself to Get Raped

Struggles of Being Female

There's a knot in her throat

her eyes are overflowing with tears

She is disgusted

disgusted because men see her as just a body

as their personal entertainment

as If she was only put on this earth to be sexually objectified

and she don't know how to stop it!

She's tired

tired of being sexually harassed, tired of the fact

that her body is seen as nothing more than a tool

a tool that men think they own

"but what if you didn't dress like that? they say

"what if you wore more clothes what if you dressed more conservative?"

as if men aren't out here raping babies who haven't even learnt to say "dada" yet

she wears oversize shirt and sweatpants

unkempt hair

ashy feet

and men still see her and say

"well what do we have here, fresh meat"

She laughs at the irony

We live in a world where women are being taught how to 'derapeyfy' themselves

while "boys will be boys"

She is asked, "well what were you wearing?"

while tears run down her cheeks

her eyes filled with pain

her body, broken

her sanity? she's going insane

because, how dare she, allow herself to get raped.
