How Can I Say

Love

How many ways can I say, "I Love You."

Something felt so deep, my soul can barely contain

My heart screams across this distance for you

How can I adequately show my love

It's not found in roses given, trinkets of promise

Disillusioned by love, nothing more in this world do I crave

Sweet visions of looking into your eyes

Hearing every breath you take, inhaling my love

Rest your weary head upon my chest as fear dies

How can such a simple man as I

Have stolen the heart of an angelic host

Words unable to describe, failing as I hear the verse die

How many ways can I say ,"I Love You."

It's not in the tenderness of a kiss

Or the way I hold you, gentle as a blade of grass holding the morning dew

I can say it numerous ways, speaking only safe havens

But they fail to compare by the only way to show

My love will burn the world and heavens

The ways of love displayed is numbered by the stars

From which you came, what do I offer

A simple gift, only for your hands to hold, my heart is yours

So how many ways can I say, "I Love You"
