Hopelessness Drowning
Too much is sometimes too much.
A burning down inside, feelings forced to hide
Happy face is painted on, a soul tired of being strong
Keep moving, no choice of giving up
Surrounded by the pain, not just one named
Giving with no take, seemingly underappreciated
Frustration overflowing, anxiety growing
End not insight, constant fight or flight
A battle every day, no chances to run away
Hoping for somewhere to turn, every door closed slammed shut tight
Hopelessness drowning, head sinking below nothing to hold
Light fading fast, heart pulled back by the past
Inner struggle, a tug of war a back and forth
Head hung low, knees sore cannot take any more
